Hello and welcome to S*Palace&Main's cattery!

My name is Terese Ståhlnacke and I live in Sigtuna, Sweden, with my husband Ulf and our two children Filip and Fanny. Together we breed British shorthair cats in various colours, mostly for strictly pet homes but sometimes also for show and breeding.
Our cattery is rather small because we believe that every kitten deserves lots of attention and care during its first weeks, and they all grow up in our home and in close contact with the family.

Since we have children and leed a busy life our cats and kittens are used to all kinds of noise. Its very important to us that only cats with a nice temper is used in our breeding.
Even the nicest cat can get sick and because of this we scan all our cats for PKD, (polycystic kidney disease) HCM (Hypertrophic Cardio Myopathy) and FIV/FeLV.

From 2007 we have begun taking x-rays of our cats hips regarding HD, Hip Dysplasia. Only cats screened normal, borderline or 1 will be used in our breeding.

Besides being nice and healthy we would of course like the cats we breed to be beautiful. This however, is not as easy as it sounds.. ;) Our focus is on spotties and tabbies, especially torties. No two tabby cats are alike, making it a very exciting pattern.
